About Me
Coach Jade
Coaching Experience
I am a United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA) certified running coach with experience working with and advising athletes with different goals and backgrounds from preparing for a personal best 5k to crushing a first ultra distance endurance race. I enjoy working with adult athletes of all ages and take a holistic approach to tailoring training, recovery, and race planning to an individual's lifestyle requirements and goals. I am comfortable working with athletes who are beginning their running journey to advanced athletes looking to improve their performance and take on ambitious new challenges.
I value strength training, worked as a CrossFit coach intern, and have a strong foundational knowledge for coaching fundamental strength movements. I incorporate functional and running-specific strength work into athlete training. I believe that a multi-dimensional athlete has a deeper well to draw from in sport and therefore emphasize work-life balance, flexibility, and cross-training to support an individual's unique needs while encouraging athletes to cultivate values of consistency, resilience, and self-compassion.
Athletic Highlights
I began my running journey as a road runner. Since college, I've competed at the amateur level running distances from 5k to the marathon and qualifying for the Boston marathon. Now, I primarily focus on trail running and compete in ultramarathons from the 50k to 100 mile distance. This year, I won the women's race at the Terrapin Mountain 50k and placed 8th female and first in my age group at the HOKA Canyons 100 Mile Endurance Race in Auburn, California, qualifying me to compete in the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France in 2025. I have podiumed in various other trail and ultra races.
